How to Choose a Trampoline in Cork — Complete Buying Guide

Four decisions settle which trampoline to buy: the size your garden allows, the range, the shape, and whether it stands on the lawn or sits in it.

Prices and details checked October 2026.

    1. Start With the Space

The right size is decided by your garden first and your children second. Allow 2 metres of clear space on every side of the trampoline, free of walls, fences, trees and sheds, then pick the biggest trampoline that fits comfortably.

The Cork garden size guide goes through this in more detail.

    2. Pick a Range

BERG makes three ranges. The Favorit is the entry range, the Champion is the step up, and the Elite matches the Champion with a longer padding warranty.

    3. Choose a Shape

Round trampolines suit most gardens and younger children, because the springs pull the bounce towards the centre. Round trampolines come in the widest choice of sizes.

Oval (Grand) trampolines fit gardens that are longer than they are wide, giving a similar jumping area in less width. See oval trampolines.

Rectangular (Ultim) trampolines give a powerful, even bounce and are preferred by gymnasts, but they ask more skill of the jumper. See rectangular trampolines.

    4. Above Ground, InGround or FlatGround

An above-ground trampoline stands on legs, needs no digging and must be anchored. An InGround trampoline sits in a pit with the mat 10 to 20cm above the lawn. A FlatGround trampoline lies completely flush with the grass and needs the deepest pit and a level, well-drained site.

On the Favorit, InGround costs a little more: the 11ft with a net is €659 above ground and €739 InGround. On the Champion and Elite the two cost the same. The digging is a separate cost. We do not offer an assembly or digging service, but we can refer you to an independent installer.

    What to Budget For

With a safety net, a Favorit runs from €449 to €979, a Champion from €1,119 to €1,539 and an Elite from €1,449 to €1,919. An above-ground trampoline needs an anchor set at €55. A weather cover is from €80 and a ladder is €39. Delivery is free on orders over €300 and €11.99 under that. Models in stock are delivered in 48 hours; otherwise delivery typically takes 7 to 10 days.
