Above Ground
An above-ground trampoline stands on legs and needs no digging, so it is the quickest to set up and can move with you. It must be anchored: even a heavy trampoline can move in a storm, and an anchor set is €55.
InGround
An InGround trampoline sits in a pit with the mat 10 to 20cm above the lawn. There is a visible rim, but no ladder, a much lower step for young children and far less exposure to wind. It is sold with a safety net or, as a SPORTS model, without one.
FlatGround
A FlatGround trampoline lies completely flush with the grass. It needs the most groundwork, because the pit runs the full width of the frame, and a level, well-drained site. Round FlatGround models take no safety net. It comes in the Champion and Elite ranges and the Pro Bouncer; the Favorit is InGround only.
How the Prices Compare
On the Favorit, InGround costs a little more: the 11ft with a Comfort net is €659 above ground and €739 InGround. On the Champion and Elite, the above-ground and InGround prices are the same: an 11ft Champion with a Deluxe net is €1,119 either way.
InGround and FlatGround trampolines can also be bought without a safety net, as SPORTS models. An 11ft Champion FlatGround without a net is €999. The digging is a separate cost. We do not offer an assembly or digging service, but we can refer you to an independent installer.
Which Suits a Cork Garden?
Choose above ground if you want the quickest set-up, may move it later or would rather not dig.
Choose InGround if the trampoline is staying put, your garden is exposed to wind or you want a lower step for young children. Cork gets plenty of rain, so check that the ground drains before you commit to a pit.
Choose FlatGround if the look matters most and your site is level and drains well.
The InGround installation guide covers the digging.
