Frequently Asked Questions
What is a BERG PlayBase?
A modular steel climbing frame. You choose a frame (Wall, Medium, Large or Extra Large) and hang accessories from its carabiner points: swings, climbing nets, a climbing wall, sports targets and fitness gear. Every frame is 1m deep and 2.45m high and carries up to 400kg.
Which PlayBase size fits a Cork garden?
Go by the clear space each frame needs. The Wall needs 4m × 3m in front of the wall it is fixed to, the Medium 6m × 4m, the Large 7m × 5m and the Extra Large 8.5m × 6m.
What age is the PlayBase for?
The frames are for ages 3 and up. The baby seat can be used from 9 months, up to 30kg. Fitness accessories such as the pull-up bar, dip bar and boxing bag are for ages 14 and up.
How does the PlayBase handle Cork weather?
The frame is steel, so it does not rot, split or need treating. The warranty is 10 years, or 13 with registration.
Can I add more accessories to my PlayBase later?
Yes. Most accessories clip on and off the carabiner points. Not every accessory fits every frame: climbing nets and soccer target nets are sized for the Medium, Large or Extra Large; the Platform + Slide does not fit the Wall; the hammock fits the Large only.
Do you deliver and assemble PlayBases in Cork?
Delivery is free across Cork, in 48 hours when the frame is in stock and typically 7 to 10 days otherwise. We do not offer an assembly service, but we can refer you to an independent installer.
