InGround Trampoline Installation in Cork — What You Need to Know

An in-ground trampoline is a groundwork job as much as a trampoline purchase. These are the things to settle before anyone picks up a spade.

Prices and details checked October 2026.

    InGround or FlatGround?

BERG makes two kinds of trampoline that go in the ground. An InGround trampoline sits in a pit with the mat 10 to 20cm above the lawn. A FlatGround trampoline lies completely flush with the grass.

FlatGround needs more groundwork: the pit is deeper and runs the full width of the frame, and the site must be level and well drained. InGround is the easier of the two to install.

    Check the Space

A trampoline in the ground needs the same clearance as one on legs: 2 metres of clear space on every side. An 11ft needs 7.5m × 7.5m and a 14ft needs 8.5m × 8.5m. You will also need a way to get the soil out of the garden.

    Check the Drainage

The pit has to drain. Cork gets plenty of rain, so look at how your lawn copes after a wet spell before you dig. If water stands on the surface, the pit will need drainage, and an installer can advise on what your site needs.

    Who Does the Digging?

We do not offer an assembly or digging service, but we can refer you to an independent installer. Many families dig the pit themselves or hire someone with a mini digger, then assemble the trampoline from the instructions supplied with it.

    What It Costs

The trampoline itself costs the same in the ground as above it on the Champion and Elite, and a little more on the Favorit: an 11ft Favorit with a net is €739 InGround against €659 above ground. With a safety net, InGround trampolines start at €469.

Without a net, as SPORTS models, they start at €339 for the Favorit InGround 200. The digging and any drainage are separate costs. Delivery is free on orders over €300 and €11.99 under that. Models in stock are delivered in 48 hours; otherwise delivery typically takes 7 to 10 days.
